The Cotswold Challenge is back...
and now includes Swindon schools!
Entries now closed - judging has commenced!
The Winners have been announced!
Following the incredible success of this innovative initiative that was created last year to support young students who missed out on taking their GCSEs and A-Levels, The Cotswold Challenge is back for a second time.

Bigger and even better than last year, The Cotswold Challenge 2021 has been extended to include schools and colleges in Swindon as well as the Cotswolds.
And there are even more prizes up for grabs! In addition to the top 4 money prizes in each category and 4 Highly Commended prizes, there will be a Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Talent chosen by The Cotswold Challenge team and given to one person in each category.
The Art and Design Challenge
Express your artistic talents in any medium: fine art, graphic design, sculpture, print-making, illustration, photography ... show us your flair.
The Creative Writing Challenge
We are looking for short stories/plays/scripts/poems that could be inspiring, reflective of what’s happening in the world today or thoughts about the future, in any genre.
The Innovation and Entrepreneurial Thinking Challenge
Do you have a great idea for a product, service or campaign that would benefit our world? Do you have views on how we can better the planet or our environment or our way of life? Tell us more!
New for 2021!
TCC Team’s Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Talent
There will be a “Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Talent” awarded by The Cotswold Challenge team for each category, with a prize of £250.
The winners of this award will be a student from each category that the team felt stood out and showed exceptional talent and promise but did not win an award from the main judges. The winners will also get professional headshots or a mini portfolio shoot by professional photographer Barbara Leatham.
What's it all about?
In these rather strange and unprecedented times, we realise that you are one of a whole generation of young people whose world has literally stopped.
Many of you were about to do your exams, but have now been left in limbo; all your hard work and effort has just halted and your time in school has been abruptly cut short. Sadly, we can’t change this, but what we can do is to try and make you feel valued, inspired and offer you the opportunity to show your talent and share your ideas.
